My role and work
As an iOS Team Lead at Xamlab, I initially worked on the existing Xamarin/C# application, identifying architectural limitations and opportunities to improve maintainability, performance, and user experience. Subsequently, I led its migration to a new native Swift implementation, introducing a scalable, modular MVVM architecture with Protocol-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, dependency injection using Swinject, and reactive programming with Bond.
Redesigned a fragmented three-screen validation workflow into a single, context-aware interface with automatic progression, incorporating real-time QR-code scanning through QRCodeReader.swift. The redesigned experience accelerated ticket validation by 5–6×, reduced validation errors by over 90%, and contributed to a reported 5.0 App Store rating.
Integrated Alamofire, PromisesSwift, and SwiftKeychainWrapper for networking, asynchronous operations, and secure credential storage. Structured the application into reusable and independently testable modules.
Established Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, standardized pull request reviews, and implemented automated unit and UI testing using Cuckoo, Nimble, and OHHTTPStubs, achieving approximately 98% test coverage.
Mentored junior engineers in clean architecture, modular development, automated testing, and code reviews, fostering stronger collaboration and engineering practices while delivering the redesigned application ahead of schedule.
